Abstract

ABSTRACT

               The objectives of this research were 1) to study the Roles of Monks towards Local cultural Conservation in Donchedi District, Suphanburi Province, 2) to study the comparison of the Roles of Monks towards Local cultural Conservation in Donchedi District, Suphanburi Province classified by personal factors, 3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions about Roles of Monks towards Local cultural Conservation in  Donchedi District , Suphanburi Province. The research methodology was the mixed method between the quantitative and qualitative methods.  The sampling group of this research was 198 monks in Donchedi District, Suphanburi Province with proportional stratified random Sampling of five scales and open questionnaire by reliability scale 0.901 and using the social sciences programme. The data was analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation; SD, t-test and F-test by one way analysis of variance; ANOVA, and least significan difference : LSD by significantly statistics at 0.05.

The findings of this research were as following :

               1. The monks who answered the questionairs towards Roles of Monks towards Local cultural Conservation in Donchedi District, Suphanburi Province in the general. It found that it was a high level for overall (X=4.38, S.D. 0.456) and When considered in each side found Roles of Monks towards Local cultural Conservation in Donchedi District, Suphanburi Province as follows the roles of evaluation was the highest (X=4.41, S.D.=0.546), The second was the role for making the decision (X=4.40, S.D. 0.452), the roles of interest was the lowest (X=4.34, S.D. 0.567) respectively.  

               2. The Roles of Monks towards Local cultural Conservation in Donchedi District , Suphanburi Province classified by personal factors found that the monks  who had the different gender, age, General Education, Dhamma Education , Pali Education and work experience to theRoles of Monks towards Local cultural Conservation in  Donchedi District , Suphanburi Province. They had the indifferent Roles of Monks towards Local cultural Conservation in Donchedi District, Suphanburi Province that it rejected the hypothesis but the monks who had the difference of ordination year, they had the Roles towards Local cultural Conservation in Donchedi District, Suphanburi Province differently, it was relevant to hypothesis.

               3. Findings of the Problems, obstacles about Roles of Monks towards Local cultural Conservation in Donchedi District, Suphanburi Province found that the levels of position made the decision very slow and every person lacked of cooperation in the activity in the sake of yourself, family and society.

               4. The   ways  to  promote  and  conserve  the  good  local  cultures  are  study   and research  about  local  cultures  that  were  collected  and  weren’t  studied  and collected  completely.  The  learner  will  know  the  definition  and  importance  of cultural  heritage  clearly.  This  knowledge  can  be  the  foundation  of  life.  When the  learners  realized  the  valuableness   and  importance  of  local  culture.  People will  conserve  the  local  culture  together.  To  make  understanding  and  confident of  changing  for  people  to  respond  other  culture  properly.  To  promote  the exchanging  of  art  and  culture  inside  country  and  other  country  by  using  the  art and  culture  to  be  an  instrument  for  building  up  relationship.
